NoctiLumina® Watch Luminizing Kits and Materials

NoctiLumina® Binders

Three different NoctiLumina® binder types are available. NoctiLumina® binders are carefully-developed formulations based on polymers that have proven lifetimes in excess of 50 years. Completely cured, they are non-toxic, non-acidic, and demonstrate very little yellowing over many decades even in ultraviolet light environments (i.e. outside).

We specify 72-hour room-temperature binder cure times in order to make sure that all of the solvent has been eliminated prior to closure of the watch case. Each binder type should be used with the corresponding thinner type.

• Binder 1A - Enhanced adhesion, best for bezels and other exterior surfaces. Can also be used on dials and hands.
• Binder 2 - Best compatibility with existing coatings. Easily resoftened and tailored using thinner.
• Binder 3 - Long working-time/pot-life. Very similar to the standard binder/varnish from another manufacturer. Recommended for general use.
• Binder 4 - Glossy, UV cure (currently in development, available October 2008)
